Press Release 7-01-09: Openings, Closings, and Events plus Reminders (once a month listings for longer running exhibitions that are not closing in the next couple of weeks)

We are making changes to many of the museum page layouts to make them easier for our visitors to navigate. The museums that provide a lot of information will now have three pages: their main page, a page for exhibition descriptions and a page for their events. Plus we are adding a map to each page. This will take a while to get finished. Some are done, but there are many to go. We appreciate your patience.

Have a Terrific 4th of July!!!!

Anvil Shoot

For a real old fashioned Independence Day Celeberation go to the Museum of Appalachia. One of their many activities is the Anvil shoot! Sometimes the anvil reaches the treetops (that's what looks like a bird in the picture).
