Girl Scouts have traditionally been stewards of their environment. For 96 years, from visits to the park and camping to special outdoor projects that help girls understand the interdependence of species, Girl Scouts have learned to appreciate nature and our earth’s resources. Through participating in the Girl Scout Leadership Experience, girls are given opportunities to discover their world while connecting with others in meaningful ways. The informal environmental educational opportunities offered through Girl Scouting can inspire girls to take action and make a difference in the world.
